The Vineland Safety Patrol is a prestigious program that provides 5th-grade students with the opportunity to become leaders and make a significant contribution to our school community. This program fosters a strong sense of responsibility and citizenship while promoting a safe and positive learning environment for all.

Safety Patrol members actively participate in:

  • Morning Car Line: Assisting with the smooth and efficient flow of traffic in the morning by opening doors for students and ensuring a safe and orderly arrival to school.
  • Hallway Supervision: Monitoring hallways and stairwells during passing periods to ensure the safe and orderly movement of students throughout the school.
  • Bus Duty: Guiding younger students to their designated buses after school, ensuring they board the correct bus safely and efficiently.

By participating in the Safety Patrol, students develop valuable life skills, including:

  • Leadership and Responsibility: Learning to take initiative, make responsible decisions, and lead by example.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Working effectively with other Safety Patrol members to achieve common goals.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Citizenship and Community Service: Understanding the importance of contributing to the school community and making a positive impact.

Becoming a Safety Patrol member is a rewarding experience that fosters a sense of pride and accomplishment. It provides students with the opportunity to develop essential life skills while making a real difference in the lives of their peers.
