School Advisory Council (SAC)
-
SAC stands for School Advisory Council, and every public school in Florida is required to have one. The SAC is a team of parents, teachers, staff, and community members who work together to support our school.
What We Do:
The SAC's main job is to help our principal with key decisions about the school's direction. Our work includes:
-
School Improvement: We develop, put into action, and evaluate our school’s improvement plan. This means we constantly look at student and school data to find ways to make things better.
-
Budget and Funding: We help decide how to use important funds, including the school improvement budget.
-
Communication: We help share the school's learning plan and monitor student progress.
-
Community Connection: We make sure the school’s efforts reflect the needs and values of our families and community.
Who Can Join?
Our council is made up of a balanced number of parents, teachers, and community members, and it's important that our council represents the diversity of our school community.
We meet at least six times throughout the school year. We would love for you to get involved and help us make a difference!
